Tom Cruise Does His Own Stunts For "Mission: Impossible 5"

The 52-year-old actor was around the plane, high above the British countryside over the weekend ... shooting a scene for the new "Mission Impossible."

Granted he's wearing a harness, but the plane looks like it's around 5,000 feet in the air. However slow, however low ... it's still has to go fast enough to stay up there.

Jay Leno Is Back On 'The Tonight Show' For One Night Only

Jay Leno is coming back to the "Tonight Show" — at least for one night.

The show's former host will be a guest on Jimmy Fallon's version of "Tonight" on Friday. It will be the first time he's been back at the NBC institution since signing off after nearly 22 years as host last February.

Fallon moved the show from California to New York and quickly established himself as the new king of late-night TV.

Leno briefly appeared in one of Fallon's TV parodies, "House of Cue Cards," but has not returned as a guest.

There was some talk after Leno left that he might make a guest appearance on David Letterman's competing CBS show. That hasn't happened yet, but the "Late Show" said Leno has a "standing offer" to appear before Letterman retires next year.

For his first time back in late-night, Leno remained loyal to NBC. Next year he's starting a new CNBC series talking about cars, "Jay Leno's Garage."

One topic of conversation for his "Tonight" appearance likely will be his recent acceptance of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. He was given the award in Washington last month in a ceremony that will be televised on PBS on Nov. 23.

Leno reigned as "Tonight" host from 1992 to 2014, with a brief break in 2009-10 when Conan O'Brien took over and Leno was given an ill-fated prime-time show. His exit this year was more NBC's timetable than Leno's, and it has worked out well for the network.

Lucy Liu and Kevin Delaney also will be guests on Fallon's show on Friday.

Nik Wallenda Completes Blindfolded Walk Above the Chicago River, Shares His Next Frightening Goal

Daredevil acrobat Nik Wallenda has done it again!

The high-wire artist successful completed his latest challenge high above the Chicago River Sunday night live on the Discovery Channel.

The first challenge featured Wallenda walking uphill at a 15-degree angle from the Marina City west tower to the top of a skyscraper on the other side of the Chicago River.

Soon after, he walked completely blindfolded between the two Marina City towers, memorable landmarks in Chicago.

"My life is inspiring people. How am I going to inspire people to never give up if I don't allow myself to become better?" he explained Sunday night. "It's very easy to become complacent when you've done something for seven generations…It's all about pushing myself."

Despite some light, unexpected winds in the Windy City, Wallenda landed safe and sound as 65,000 people cheered him on from the ground.

His brave actions earned him two new Guinness World Records including highest incline tight-rope walk and highest blindfolded tight-rope walk.

This wasn't the first scary stunt Wallenda has completed. Last summer, the daredevil walked across a gorge in the Grand Canyon with no harness or safety net.

"There was no point where I thought I was going to fall for sure, but there were points where I was thinking, 'Man, I wish I could just relax,'" he revealed on the Today show shortly after his accomplishment. "I was working for every single foot to get across that wire."

And before we catch our breaths from the anxiety we experienced Sunday night, Wallenda already has big plans for next year.

He hopes to walk on another rope 600 feet high and 1,000 feet long. This time, however, comes with an added twist.

"I've never done a headstand on a wire before," he told hosts Natalie Morales and Willie Geist. Gulp! Let the training continue!

Box Office: 'Nightcrawler' and 'Ouija' Currently Tied For First Place Over Halloween Weekend

“Ouija” and “Nightcrawler” are effectively tied for first place at the box office, providing a little excitement in an otherwise deadly Halloween weekend at the multiplexes.

Both films picked up roughly $10.9 million, but a clear leader will only be determined once final numbers come in on Monday. Whether the victor is “Ouija” or “Nightcrawler,” it will still be the lowest-grossing number one ranked film since the first weekend in September when “Guardians of the Galaxy” topped the box office with $10.4 million.

Universal Pictures Releases First Official Trailer For "Fast 7"

Join us as Universal Pictures launches the eagerly anticipated trailer for Fast & Furious 7, the final film starring the late Paul Walker.

It's been a long road to this point following Walker's tragic death last November, which resulted in production being halted and the film's release date being pushed back almost a year.

The action flick was eventually completed with Walker's brothers Cody and Caleb standing in to complete production.
